Gary started karting in 2005 along with Tim and Randy. The first race was at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA in March 2006 resulting in a nice 3rd place finish in the TaG Heavy (125cc, single speed electric start) class. Road America followed with Gary in the 17th position in a big field of the premier TaG class racers. The Blackhawk Farms race was held in August with Gary beginning in the 42nd starting position resulting with an impressive 2nd place finish in Sprint Open. The 2007 season had Gary moving up to G125 Class (125cc Open Mod Shifter). Chassis problems at Road America put Gary into salvage mode. He raced the GPI spare chassis with an 80cc engine. Despite being 100 lbs. over the rest of the 80cc contenders, he finished in 5th place right on their heels. Blackhawk |

Farms was literally, a "wash", since the event was called because of a downpour. Iowa Speedway had Gary trying the Spec Moto Class, resulting in the knowledge that he needed the horsepower of the full mod motor. The Milwaukee race that followed proved to be the race for Gary with the chassis and motor performing as needed. Racing in a highly competitive G125 field, Gary finished with very impressive 5th and 6th places, a great reward for a hard season. Gary will start the 2008 season with a proven chassis and motor. With familiar equipment, his year should be on the up and we are expecting great results. |
